THE LAKES COUNTRY CLUB

 

 

The Lakes Country Club is positioned in the heart of Palm Desert on approximately 380 acres. This gated community of 902 condo homes coupled with a private club offers many amenities to its residents. All homes deliver a distinctive lake or golf course view.

 

Golf enthusiasts will appreciate the 27-hole championship course designed by Ted Robinson, Sr. The theme of water threads throughout the course in the form of lakes and waterfalls boasting 25 out of 27 holes incorporating water features. In operation since 1983, the final set of 9 holes was added in 1998. Updating of the course took place in 2002 by Damian Pascuzzo.

 

There are 48 glistening swimming pools and spas for community use. The health and fitness center opened in 1997, was expanded in 2001, and offers 5,000 square feet of workout space. Members also enjoy The Lakes 45,000 square foot clubhouse complete with a grill room, pro-shop, dining room, and a lounge displaying gorgeous mountain views.

 

Homeowners Association fees include social membership to the Country Club, usage of the fitness center and the community’s 15 tennis courts, trash pick-up, cable TV, 24 hour in-home alarm monitoring, landscape and exterior building maintenance.

Notable additional fees include a food and beverage minimum of approximately $700 to be used at the Clubhouse during the designated season between November and May. Also, a special HOA reserve replenishment fee is due from new homeowners totaling nine times the current HOA monthly dues amount, equaling around $5,200 at this time.
