PGA WEST NICKLAUS TOURNAMENT COURSE

The privately gated neighborhood of Nicklaus Tournament Course is made up of single-family homes and condo-styled homes. The condos were constructed in the early 1990’s on the golf course and models vary in size between 1,500 and 3,050 square feet. While the various single-family homes were fashioned starting in 1990, finishing in 2005. It is one of six PGA West® communities and residents enjoy clubhouse, pool, and spa amenities.
The Nicklaus Tournament golf course is a semi-private course boasting some unique play. In operation since 1987 and given the moniker “Nick Tourney” by members, the 18 holed course is privileged to be one of just a few courses worldwide to have the exciting element of two island greens.
The Nicklaus Tournament Course once tied with PGA West’s Stadium Course for having a 150 slope rating, the highest found in Southern California. Holes #9 and #18 are situated for Stadium Clubhouse patrons to observe golfers take on the rolling double greens, where shots must sail over two lakes before landing. Jack Nicklaus’s Tournament Course co-hosts the PGA Tour Qualifying Finals, known as Q-School.
