PGA WEST LEGENDS

 

 

The Legends grouping of homes is located in the prominent PGA West® community in La Quinta. Single family homes were constructed from 2000 through 2006 and are separated by their own private entry gate.

 

Legends homes grace several holes of the semi-private Nicklaus Tournament course and the private course of Weiskopf. Floorplans are all single story styles with courtyards and fall into two categories, called the Classic and Signature collections, with square footage ranging from just over 2,000 to just under 4,000 square feet. Community amenities include a pool and spa in additon to golf offerings.

 

The Nicklaus Tournament golf course boasts some unique elements. In operation since 1987 and given the nickname “Nick Tourney” by members, the 18-holed course is privileged to be one of just a few courses worldwide to have the exciting element of two island greens.

 

While the Weiskopf course flaunts Scottish flair thanks to the links style design found on several renowned Scottish courses. An 18-hole private course, the front nine move golfers away from the clubhouse while the back nine escort them back. The design incorporaes a Scottish tradition, the element of a ‘bye hole’, that acts as a 19th hole when tied matches go to ‘sudden death’. Still popular in Scotland, there are only a very small number found in America.
