GRIFFIN RANCH

 

 

Set on approximately 200 acres of the late Merv Griffin’s property in South La Quinta, this sophisticated community has a neat story. Media magnate, Merv Griffin, was one of the first to recognize the desert area’s promising future. He purchased approximately 240 acres of rural land over 25 years ago, before the city of La Quinta was even incorporated, to be home to his Moroccan-inspired estate. In 2005, Mr. Griffin chose to turn a portion of his property into an affluent master-planned equestrian community. Thus Griffin Ranch was born, and opened in the summer of 2007.

 

Griffin Ranch neighbors the Hideaway, PGA West, and Madison Club communities.

This 24-hour guard gated neighborhood is steeped in luxury offering four distinct compilations of homes. The Madeira, Sevilla, Castilla, and Campania Collections offer semi-custom homes that vary in size between 2,609 and 5,700 square feet. Each enclave features a unique styling and architecture and offers the choice of several interior “extras.”

 

Twenty, one-acre lots are available for custom home construction within this diverse community. The scenic Santa Rosa Mountains loom over the pastoral landscape of these homesites that border Merv Griffin’s estate property.

 

Griffin Ranch has copious amenities and expansive equestrian facilities in planning stages. Upon completion, the community will include The Griffin Club and The Saddle Club.

 

The Griffin Club will boast a private, 22,000 square foot clubhouse offering residents meeting and screening rooms, a swimming pool/spa, tennis, a fitness center, wine room, card rooms, massage and salon services, and dining options.

 

The Saddle Club will be an impressive full-service equestrian center. The facility will house approximately 80 box stalls, personal tack lockers for each individual horse, a vacuum and fly system, grooming stations with hot/cold wash racks, misters, a fan system, and a washroom with washing machines/dryers for laundering needs.
