INDIAN PALMS COUNTRY CLUB

48630 Monroe Street, Indio, CA

Indian Palms graces the historic Floyd Odlum-Jacqueline Cochran ranch in the city of Indio. Indio is a prime location situated just 30 miles from Palm Springs. The golf club and course has a rich heritage itself, as it was the very first public golf course in this desert region, opening its doors in 1948. A notable example of such history is that President Eisenhower stayed as a guest in the community’s resort-style boutique hotel while scripting his memoirs.

The golf course was redesigned in 2003 and is a public course of 36 holes. In the near future, the existing boutique hotel is slated for replacement by a new resort style hotel.

The homes in Indian Palms were developed between 1980 and 2007. Real estate opportunities do consist of condos and single-family homes with lots on the golf course or off the course in this large community of 3,000 dwellings. Setting apart the newer homes, some models boast 50 foot enclosed garages that are attached to the homes for parking RV’s and motor coaches, an outstanding feature for RV and motor coach owners.
